Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager I to own the project QC program on a single site, maintaining the ITP, scheduling and witnessing tests, and producing daily QC reports under supervision.

The role advances from field inspector to program owner, with responsibilities for nonconformance handling, documentation, and coordination with engineers and superintendents to ensure compliance. Travel may be required as per project needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• At least one of: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the ITP and testing frequency log; schedule and witness tests.
• Verify certifications of technicians and document their work.
• Write daily QC reports and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close NCRs with superintendent and engineer of record; keep files audit-ready.
