Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support field execution on construction projects in Myrtle Beach. You will assist with safety, QA/QC, estimating, and change management while coordinating with foremen, subcontractors and the project team.

You will help monitor on-site activities, prepare documentation, track progress, and support closeout efforts with a focus on learning and applying lean practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in CM/engineering or related field.
• Entry level construction experience required.
• Willingness to travel/relocation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn and participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Participate in QA/QC planning for assigned tasks.
• Learn estimating and change management processes and tools.
• Support on-site activities: monitor crew, hours, materials, quantities.
• Participate in punch lists, inspections, safety and quality reviews.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and project docs with latest info.
• Attend meetings and disseminate required documentation.
• Prepare reports: daily/weekly progress, manpower, schedules.
