Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a construction coordinator for on-site involvement with project leadership. The role focuses on scheduling, daily and quality control reporting, and ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications across subcontractors.

You will monitor progress, capture daily site photos, and support monthly progress reporting while maintaining meticulous on-site records and conformance to quality policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control, and drawings conformity.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site management.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label them correctly.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and maintain on-site records per document control requirements.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• Provide correspondence with project management and clients for clear issue resolution.

Education

High school diploma + 6 years relevant experience

Associate degree + 3 years relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
