Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a part-time Construction Technician for our St George, UT office. You will perform on-site daily observation of contractor work, verify compliance with plans and specifications, and document daily activities.

You will also test concrete and soil, take samples, and coordinate with Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and office staff. Experience with UDOT or municipal projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• This job requires good communication and documentation skills (Word, Excel, Internet based document management).
• Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Physically performs field-required tests and inspections.
• Prepares daily reports, item entries, and documents test results; attends progress meetings with contractor, owner and project engineer.
• Assures the quality of the contractor’s work.
• Maintains daily logs of inspections and reviews any discrepancies with proper parties.
• Operates a company vehicle with a valid driving record as required.
