Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Saint George, Utah, is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform field tests and inspections onsite. The role requires preparing daily reports, verifying contractor workmanship, and maintaining inspection logs in coordination with project teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in construction, strong documentation skills, and the ability to read plans. Out-of-town work may occur with per diem and housing arrangements provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and documentation skills with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction methods, roadway/bridge work, and inspections.
• Knowledge or experience with UDOT or municipal construction management procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Physically performs field tests and inspections as required.
• Prepares daily reports, entries, and documents test results; attends progress meetings with contractor, owner, and project engineer.
• Ensures quality of contractor work and adherence to specs.
• Keeps daily logs of inspections and communicates discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
• Operates a company vehicle and maintains a safe driving record.
