Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Construction Inspector for our St George, UT office. This role conducts on-site daily observations of contractor work and verifies compliance with plans and standards, documenting activities and performing materials tests on concrete and soil.

You will coordinate with the Field Engineer and Project Engineer, supervise other testers, and ensure communication and record-keeping. Prior roadway/bridge inspection experience and WAQTC/ACI certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of construction experience focused on roadway/bridge work.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of UDOT or municipal construction management procedures preferred.
• Ability to mentor other Construction Observers and Testers.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site tests and inspections as required.
• Prepare daily reports and attend progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure quality of contractor work and maintain logs.
• Document test results and coordinate with project team.
• Operate a company vehicle where applicable and maintain driving record.
