Job summary

AGEC is seeking a dedicated Field Technician to support engineering projects with on-site testing and inspection services at construction sites across the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back. Testing includes structural fill compaction testing, MSE retaining wall observations, deep foundation observations, concrete and rebar inspection and testing, and other special inspections.

This is a Full Time position with supervision by senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
• Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager
• Maintains assigned equipment.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

You will perform on-site testing and inspection services at construction projects throughout the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back. Testing includes structural fill compaction testing, MSE retaining wall observations, deep foundation observations, concrete and rebar inspection and testing, and other special inspections. This is a great way to increase your familiarity with the construction world, and interface with both registered professional engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with acceptable violation history
• Must be able to obtain the ACI certification within 120 days of hire
