Job summary

K&A Power Group seeks a Field Construction Manager to lead substation and underground transmission projects in the Boston–Worcester area. You will oversee civil and electrical construction, coordinate with project teams, and ensure safety and quality in line with Massachusetts codes.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, solving field issues, managing schedules, and maintaining field documentation. Strong leadership and utility experience are essential, with travel to project sites as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; extensive relevant field experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5+ years of field construction experience in electrical utility infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience with construction of electrical substations and underground transmission.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day field construction management for substation and underground transmission projects.
• Manage civil construction activities including site development, grading, drainage, foundations, duct banks, trenches.
• Oversee electrical construction activities including substation equipment installation and grounding systems.
• Review drawings, specs, work packages, and field conditions; provide practical input.
• Make or support technical field decisions and coordinate with engineering for design changes.
