Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking a Site Construction Manager to lead field operations at client project sites across the United States. You will oversee safety, quality control, scheduling, and on-site coordination while representing the company at the project site.

This 100% in-the-field role requires strong leadership, meticulous documentation, and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors on moderate to high complexity projects. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 12 years of relevant construction experience.
• Associate degree plus 9 years of relevant experience in Construction Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering plus 6 years of relevant experience; at least 3 years in Construction Management/Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractors and on-site construction to ensure safety, quality and adherence to drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site leadership.
• Take progress photographs and maintain labeled records.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design revision.
• Provide assistance to Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with client approval.
• Communicate with project management and clients clearly and professionally.
• Maintain on-site records per company documentation requirements.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
