Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field execution of repair and construction activities for our Pittsburgh-area client.

You will translate inspection findings into actionable repair scopes and manage crews, contractors, and client stakeholders to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals. As on-site representative, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, review drawings, and ensure QA/QC compliance while growing repair services within an asset integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in construction coordination or industrial repair.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (power, oil & gas, refining, chemical, manufacturing, steel, mining).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field repair/construction projects and follow-up repair work.
• Serve as primary field contact, aligning scope, safety, and client expectations.
• Plan and coordinate daily field operations, including access, scheduling, logistics, and sequencing.
• Track progress, budgets, schedule performance, and communicate risks to leadership.
• Support outage and shutdown execution as needed.
• Coordinate across structural, mechanical, civil, and asset integrity scopes.
• Mentor junior field staff and maintain relationships with client operations and engineering teams.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
