Description

Ledcor is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Construction Manager to oversee our daily field operations. This key role ensures project delivery on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Responsibilities include executing project plans, maintaining site safety and quality control, and managing field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. The position requires the ability to travel up to 100% of the time.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure projects adhere to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building codes
  • Oversee quality testing and manage conformance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
  • Maintain site safety to meet or exceed safety manuals and regulations
  • Lead safety meetings and help develop the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)
  • Monitor construction schedules to meet milestones and deadlines
  • Estimate activity durations and material requirements for multi-discipline estimates
  • Provide direction to field staff and coordinate resources to meet project goals
  • Supervise craft employees and subcontractors regarding safety, schedule, and quality
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and review invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of construction experience in supervisory roles such as foreman or lead hand
  • Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma (preferred)
  • Understanding of current construction practices, documentation, costs, and budgets
  • Ability to plan and manage project schedules and develop solutions within guidelines
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and team management
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
Working Conditions:
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, lift (up to 50 pounds), and work at heights in various weather conditions
  • This is a site-based role requiring 100% travel
