LaBella Associates in New York is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to manage and coordinate daily contractor activities, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and QA/QC across multi-year capital programs. The role collaborates with the Project Manager, Scheduler, Document Control, and subcontractors to meet client construction requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management.
• Two (2) years of college is preferred
• Distribution line work experience required
• MS Suite; high competency in MS Excel
• Knowledge of NRA clearances and switching orders would be beneficial
• Experience reviewing project plans, specifications, contract enforcement, and applicable standards (OSHA, regs).
• Knowledge of GPS Systems and SAP is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings and convey interpretations to contractors
• Basic knowledge of various electric utility assets and equipment
• Extensive knowledge of electric utility industry materials and equipment

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.
• Applies the project safety program requirements to promote compliance with safety standards on the project.
• Assists in creating and facilitating the project quality program.
• Works with the Project Manager to ensure projects are built to approved plans and codes.
• Assists in developing and maintaining the construction schedule with the project team.
• Leads project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress.
• Provides leadership to construction team members to achieve targets.
• Identifies and manages opportunities and risks for schedule/financial targets.
• Coordinate engineering and document reviews with constructability analysis.
• Participate in construction conference calls and meetings to report status.
• Keep written/photographs and records onsite to document projects.
• Maintain site records on materials and delivery status.
• Document and publish daily/weekly construction reports to the PM.
• Performs other duties as assigned
