Job summary

K&A Power Group in Auburn, New York seeks a Field Construction Coordinator to lead field activities for electric utility transmission and distribution projects. You will monitor progress, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in utility construction, strong MS Excel skills, and experience reading plans. Travel and collaboration with engineering and inspections teams are expected as part of a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in progressive electric utility construction experience.
• Experience with transmission facilities construction management preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Field support to resolve problems and be proactive.
• Review contractor invoices and schedules; provide feedback.
• Attend safety, environment and quality meetings; contribute input.
• Coordinate material delivery between customer stockroom and contractor.
• Inspect construction materials and workmanship for quality and conformance.
• Maintain daily on-site as-built project plans and progress records.
• Communicate with PM on progress and issues; escalate as needed.
• Initiate distribution outage requests via E-STAR/CONVEX.
