Job summary

K&A Power Group in Rochester, New York is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field teams on high‑voltage transmission projects. You will supervise crews, ensure energized work safety, read blueprints, and coordinate with subcontractors across substations and T&D work.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management with 7 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in supervision and 2 in energized environments, plus OSHA 30 and QEW or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or construction management or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in supervisory roles.
• Experience in transmission line construction and energized work environments.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to sites.
• Experience with substations, T&D, and related projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities on high-voltage lines with safety and energized work protocols.
• Manage field crews, subcontractors, and equipment on live electrical projects.
• Ensure OSHA, NESC and utility procedures are followed and conduct pre-job briefings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and switching orders; lead tailboard meetings.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and report to project leadership.
