Job summary

Lilly in Huntsville, Alabama seeks an experienced Construction Lead to provide owner-side field leadership for a major greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project. You will join the OR/PMC team and act as an extension of Lilly’s organization, delivering independent oversight, technical expertise, and proactive management through construction and handover.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive construction experience on large capital projects.
• Experience as Owner’s Representative, PMC, EPCM, or senior field construction leadership.
• Pharma/biotech or complex industrial construction experience preferred.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and field reporting.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day owner-side construction leadership across the project site.
• Maintain active field presence, monitor contractor performance, site conditions, quality, safety, and sequencing.
• Coordinate oversight across multiple contractors and work packages.
• Develop relationships with contractors while maintaining Owner’s independence.
• Identify progress constraints and drive timely resolution.
• Provide objective field assessments of conditions, risks, and actions.
• Support sequencing, site logistics, and handover readiness.
• Collaborate with Project Controls, Engineering, Quality, HSE, Procurement, and Commissioning teams.
