Job summary

Emerald Design Build seeks an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to lead field operations across residential and commercial projects in Central Massachusetts. The role alternates between active jobsites, ensuring schedule adherence, quality control, and effective crew coordination.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in field supervision, can read drawings, and will work closely with Project Management to manage scope, cost, and client commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of construction field leadership or supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret site, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong scheduling, site logistics, and coordination skills.
• Read and communicate field discrepancies before work proceeds.
• Proactive in safety practices and hazard identification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations across multiple active projects.
• Travel between jobsites to assess progress, staffing, safety, and needs.
• Direct foremen, crews, and subcontractors to maintain productivity.
• Coordinate sequencing, inspections, deliveries, and equipment.
• Collaborate with Project Management to prevent delays and conflicts.
• Review drawings and specs, verify field work, and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct regular site walkthroughs for quality and adherence to requirements.
• Reprioritize activities and respond to urgent needs on short notice.
• Manage material needs, procurement, deliveries, and storage.
• Maintain clean, safe, and professional jobsites and enforce safety practices.
• Document daily logs, photos, and field updates in Buildertrend or similar.
