Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks a Site Construction Manager 1 to lead on-site field operations at client project sites across the United States. Responsibilities include safety, quality control, scheduling, contract handling, conformance to drawings, and client relations, with potential support on larger projects.

Work is performed in the field with minimal supervision on moderate-to-high complexity projects; travel is 100% to project locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline. At least three (3) years in Construction Management/Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversees subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensures work adheres to the project schedule and flags delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Writes Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for project records.
• Takes progress photographs and organizes visual records for documentation.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensures contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May assist the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Prepares contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Maintains clear and professional correspondence with project management and clients.
