Job summary

CDM Smith’s Site Construction Manager works in the field at client project sites across the United States. You will oversee on-site field operations, ensuring safety, quality control, scheduling, contract administration, and drawing conformance, while representing the company at project sites.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 12+ years of relevant experience
• Associate degree with 9+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in Construction Management/Engineering/related field

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to drawings.
• Maintain project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs and label them for records.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawings revision.
• Provide assistance to Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with Project Manager.
• Maintain on-site records per document control requirements.
