City and County of Honolulu is seeking two Assistant Construction Inspectors to inspect wastewater construction projects for compliance with plans, regulations, and contract terms. The role involves field work with exposure to hazards and potential travel to job sites, and includes responsibilities such as reporting, verification of work, and enforcing contract requirements.

Competenze

Equivalent to a high school education; responsible work experience may substitute for education.
One year of experience in inspecting or supervising construction work.
Substitution options include an associate's degree or a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.

Mansioni

Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
Monitor construction activities including grading, paving, concrete, reinforcing steel, pile driving, and backfill.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
Verify completed work for contractor payments and project progress.
Enforce contract compliance by documenting deficiencies and coordinating corrective actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
