Job summary

CDM Smith on-site field inspector role across multiple project locations within our Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection group. You will gain hands-on experience inspecting traffic control, materials and construction methods on highway projects under direct supervision.

Candidate will review contractor daily reports, assist with material testing and QC procedures, and may perform sampling and testing of soils and asphalt. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• 0 years.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials, under direct supervision.
• Review and recommend acceptance or rejection of daily contractor reports and QC procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and results for conformance to contract.
• May perform sampling and in-place testing of soil, base, concrete and asphalt.
