Job summary

Wallace Montgomery is seeking a Construction Inspector to join the Virginia team. Construction Inspectors inspect, observe, and document construction and maintenance projects. They are also responsible for performing tests on soils & materials.

Work is performed under the supervision of a Project Engineer. Inspectors travel across the State with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and may work night shifts when required.

Qualifications

• Field inspections of construction and maintenance projects.
• Tests on soils, asphalt, concrete, aggregates and coatings.
• Data requests and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspections of construction and maintenance projects and roadways.
• Conducts tests on soils, asphalt, concrete, aggregates, bituminous products, metal products and coatings.
• Maintains daily progress photos and the Inspector's Daily Report (IDR).
• Participates in meetings and change order discussions as needed.
