Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our CEI team in the Raleigh, NC area. The role involves field inspections for transportation, highways and structural projects in heavy civil construction, ensuring work complies with plans, specifications, and provisions.

You will document results, review drawings, measure quantities for pay items, and monitor traffic control and erosion devices on active sites.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of roadway inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to verify materials and construction conforms to plans and specs.
• Multitask management of project assignments.
• Conduct field inspections and document results for supervisor.
• Review drawings and understand construction design for inspection preparations.
• Measure quantities for pay item documentation and other contract records.
• Inspect work zones for traffic control, erosion devices, and ROW coordination.
