Job summary

RK&K is seeking a CEI Inspector to join our Knoxville, TN team. You will perform routine field inspections on highway, bridge, and design-build projects, supporting construction management and ensuring compliance with contract documents.

Ideal candidates bring several years of roadway/structures experience, contract interpretation skills, and the ability to supervise entry-level inspectors. Travel to project sites is expected, with strong ethics and client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive experience in roadway and structures construction.
• Ability to understand, explain, and administer contracts; interpret construction plans, provisions, standards, and specifications.
• Train, coordinate, and supervise entry level inspection technicians in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management support, including inspection, testing, and monitoring of construction to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Monitor activities of other inspectors and interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines.
• Recordkeeping, materials testing, and reporting as required.
