Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector 2 to support active roadway and bridge projects. The role operates independently on less complex tasks and assists seasoned inspectors on more complex assignments, with focus on documentation, safety, and field testing.

The candidate will need to read plans, perform basic math, and produce detailed daily reports. Strong teamwork and flexibility for varied schedules, including night shifts, are important to success.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in construction inspection or similar field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs and procedures.
• Demonstrate basic math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Read, write and communicate fluently; clear daily reporting required.
• Work effectively in a team and complete daily reports by hand and computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and timely reports documenting construction progress, inspection and testing results.
• Record and report daily forms per project requirements and review for accuracy.
• Maintain records, measure field quantities, conduct field tests to verify contractor compliance.
• Submit accurate timesheets, mileage and expense reports weekly.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, staff and supervisors; resolve issues at the lowest level.
