Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ability to understand plans and procedures.
• Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently; report daily observations.
• Team player with ability to complete daily reports by hand and on computer.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed reports documenting construction progress and field testing results.
• Record daily forms and ensure accuracy before submission.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
• Perform field inspection and documentation on various highway and bridge projects.
• Review safety and adherence to OSHA standards and contract specs.
