Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector 2 in Charlotte to perform field inspections on roadway and bridge projects, working independently on less complex tasks and assisting senior inspectors on complex jobs.

You will document progress, manage safety, and ensure contractor compliance with contract specs. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, occasional night shifts, and accurate daily reporting.

Qualifications

• Understand construction plans, specs and procedures.
• Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Read, write and communicate fluently.
• Work effectively as a team member and complete daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and timely reports documenting construction progress, inspection, and testing results.
• Record and report daily forms per project requirements.
• Review work for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
• Maintain records, measure field quantities, conduct field tests to verify contractor compliance.
• Submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports weekly.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
• Perform field construction inspection and documentation on various projects.
• Review job site safety daily and address issues per OSHA standards.
