Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of DOT specifications and standards; willingness to study and advance knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and standards.
• Experience with DOT inspection procedures is preferred.
• Field testing certifications or coursework are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection and oversight of construction activities under the Project Manager.
• Maintain daily reports and progress records for projects.
• Coordinate materials sampling and testing, and verify testing is performed.
• Verify accuracy of payment requests and invoicing for completed work.
• Coordinate with contractors and communicate effectively with all parties.
• Be willing to travel and work day or night shifts as required.
