Job summary

You will review submittals, monitor progress, and coordinate field services with engineers and clients while mentoring junior staff. Domestic travel is required; US citizenship and the ability to pass a federal background check are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Domestic travel required; overseas travel possible.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check.
• Experience with federal projects (NAVFAC/USACE) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with design specs and safety codes.
• Document inspection results, deficiencies, and sampling needs.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material certifications with engineers.
• Monitor construction progress and maintain daily reports and status updates.
• Inspect construction materials and testing processes to ensure standards.
• Coordinate field construction services, ensuring safety and quality control.
• Conduct site investigations and review maps, tests, and drawings.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with permits and regulatory guidelines; deliver technical files.
• Develop, train, and mentor junior staff; liaise with contractors and clients.
• Perform other duties as required.
