Job summary

K&A Engineering in Hornell, New York is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to oversee field execution on electric utility projects, coordinating with the Project Manager and Construction Manager. You will manage schedules, resources, safety, and quality on site, ensuring compliance with Customer policies and procedures.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electric utility construction, experience with transmission and distribution, and strong MS Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management.
• Two years of college is preferred.
• Construction Project Engineer background is a plus.
• Distribution line work experience required.
• Must have strong MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Field Support to resolve problems and provide proactive solutions.
• Monitor schedule: look ahead vs. PM.
• Attend contractor Safety, Environment and Quality meetings.
• Maintain and update onsite H&S, Environment and Quality project binder.
• Review contractor invoices and schedules; provide feedback.
• Conduct weekly project progress meetings; obtain two-week look-ahead schedule.
• Present on site when work is performed; observe contractor activities.
• Notify PM immediately of problems or public complaints.
