Job summary

K&A Power Group is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator in New York to lead field activities on transmission and distribution projects. You will coordinate with contractors, engineers, and inspectors, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple job sites in Geneva, Hornell, Fillmore, and Mechanicville.

The role requires at least five years in electric utility construction, strong Excel skills, and experience with project coordination.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in progressive electric utility industry with transmission facilities construction management.
• Two years of college preferred.
• Construction Project Engineer background preferred.
• Distribution line work experience required.
• MS Excel proficiency required.
• Knowledge of NRA clearances and switching orders beneficial.
• Experience reviewing plans, specifications, contracts and regulatory standards (OSHA).
• Electrical utility transmission UV/OV & civil construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Field support to resolve problems; be proactive.
• Attend safety, environment and quality meetings; provide input.
• Review contractor invoices and schedules; provide feedback.
• Conduct weekly progress meetings; obtain look-ahead schedules.
• Inspect work for quality, safety and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate material delivery between customer stockroom and contractor.
• Maintain on-site as-built project plans and paper trail.
