Job summary

Waukesha-Pearce Industries (WPI) seeks a Field Compressor Journeyman to service the Odessa/Midland area on a 14/14 schedule, lead technicians, and train others while performing jobs on natural gas engines and compressors.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, following OEM standards, performing startup work, and assisting with job planning and workforce management. Applicants must have 4+ years of gas compressor experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of gas compressor experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver license and driving record that meets WPI insurance requirements.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks with minimal supervision and per WPI and OEM standards.
• Develop and mentor other technicians.
• Read schematics, blueprints, sketches, drawings and specs.
• Determine safest and most effective procedure for jobs.
• Perform Waukesha Service Bulletin upgrades.
• Inspect own work for tolerances and OEM spec compliance.
• Complete required paperwork and service forms.
• Work safely with high housekeeping standards on site and in service truck.
• Own basic tooling and equipment as listed.
