Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Communications Technician 4 in Santa Fe, NM to perform routine troubleshooting, surveys, and maintenance on the cable plant from the node to customer equipment. The role requires climbing, lifting up to 70 lbs, and working with power and safety standards.

You will handle construction maintenance, splices, installations for residential services, and respond to outages, with on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Fifteen months cable telecommunications (and/or broadband) experience or similar.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot the plant from the distribution cable to the node to restore video, CHSI, or CDV services.
• Survey plant and ensure service availability for customers.
• Perform underground location and pickup of plant using prints and equipment.
• Respond to outages during business hours and on-call shifts; may include evenings/weekends.
• Perform installation tasks including splices, pre-wires, and multi-product service calls.
• Ensure safety procedures and proper use of tools; lift 70 lbs or more when needed.
