Job summary

Mobile Communications America is seeking an experienced Communication Systems Technician in Georgetown, Texas to support our MSS (Voice) division. You will install, troubleshoot, and upgrade land mobile radio systems for public safety, healthcare, education, utilities, and other markets.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of hands-on experience with mobile comms gear, and proficiency with spectrum analyzers and test equipment.

Qualifications

At least two (2) years of experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
Experience operating testing equipment like spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, and multi-meters.
Understanding of / willingness to learn two-way radio theory.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair land mobile radio (LMR) systems and related equipment for public safety, healthcare, education, utilities, and other markets.
Design and upgrade customer systems to the latest technologies and solutions.
Conduct minor modifications to circuitry and deploy firmware updates as requested.
Provide technical support and clearly communicate system performance and needs to customers.
Collaborate with the team, the Service Manager, and customers.
Complete service tickets, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time.
Be open to learning and mentoring in new communications technology.
Adhere to safety standards, quality requirements, and procedures.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
