Job summary

Phasor USA, LLC is seeking a Field Commissioning Lead to guide the testing and commissioning of MV/HV protection and control schemes across utility, generation, and oil & gas projects. This role requires leading technical teams, interpreting complex drawings, and ensuring safety standards are met in field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification.
• 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments.
• Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry.
• Read and interpret drawings and troubleshoot / resolve technical issues.
• Manage direct reports and delegate tasks as needed.
• Report preparation and submission.
• Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety practices as per corporate, client, and industry standards.
• Initiate and/or respond to customer inquiries, discuss trouble details and confirm resolutions.
