Job summary

Luster National seeks Construction Inspectors across skill levels to support large, complex heavy civil programs including highways, bridges, transit, aviation, and water facilities in the Seattle area. You will verify field work against plans, document daily activities, and raise issues early to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

We value depth in one discipline (civil/structural, mechanical/plumbing, or electrical) and require strong communication, documentation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering technology, civil engineering, or construction engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of construction inspection experience for large, complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects
• Experience inspecting civil/structural, mechanical/plumbing, or electrical construction

Responsibilities

• Inspect installed work for conformance with approved plans, specifications, permits, and contract requirements
• Document daily construction activity including labor, equipment, materials, and progress photos
• Verify materials on delivery against submittals and certifications
• Coordinate and witness field and laboratory testing and track results to closure
• Identify and report nonconforming work, safety concerns, and design conflicts promptly
• Measure and record pay quantities for payment accuracy
• Verify survey layout checks and as‑built documentation against plans
• Monitor traffic control, work zone, and site safety requirements
• Coordinate inspection coverage with contractors, agency staff, and third parties
• Assist in punch list development, testing, startup verification, and closeout documentation
