Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated field claims professional to join our team in the Pittsburgh area. You will manage the lifecycle of property and casualty claims in the field, including investigation, evaluation and resolution, serving agents, insureds, and others to ensure timely, accurate outcomes.

We value experience with multi-line P&C claims, strong communication, data interpretation, and the ability to manage multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience handling property and casualty claims
• Minimum 3 years handling multi-line property and casualty claims with emphasis on property
• Field claims handling experience preferred but not required
• Knowled ge of Xactimate software preferred
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to resolve complex issues
• Organize and interpret data
• Drive an automobile with valid license

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage and loss value
• Handle multi-line property and casualty claims in territory with emphasis on property
• Study policies, endorsements and forms to learn coverage
• Work toward resolution of claims including arbitrations or depositions
• Ensure timely and accurate claim payments
• Handle investigations by phone, mail and on-site
• Residence in one of PA counties: Clearfield, Blair, Cambria, or Centre
