Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated field claims professional to manage the lifecycle of insurance claims in the field, including investigation, evaluation, and resolution.

The role supports agents and insureds, with training provided and potential remote work up to five days per week after initial in-person training. A strong background in property & casualty claims is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience in property and casualty claims.
• Minimum 3 years handling multi-line property and casualty claims with emphasis on property.
• Field claims handling experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, endorsements and forms.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss.
• Handle multi-line property and casualty claims in an assigned territory.
• Work toward resolution of claims and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
