Job summary

The position offers a work-from-home arrangement when not in the field, with about 40% travel for on-site inspections. A Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Eng is required; PE is preferred; 5–7 years of design experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• PE license preferred (EIT considered).
• 5–7 years’ design experience in residential, commercial, and industrial settings preferred.
• Field investigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate origin and cause of failures in civil/structural disciplines across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Analyze failure modes and assess construction quality or design/maintenance procedures.
• Perform field investigations and document damaged property; lead multi‑party examinations as needed.
• Research failure modes and code requirements; prepare repair/remediation recommendations.
• Prepare reports outlining origin and cause of damages for clients.
• Manage or collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large, complex assignments.
