Job summary

Artheon is seeking fresh Civil Engineering graduates for field inspection and office engineering roles focused on highways, bridges, and airports in Berlin, NJ. The on-site position requires daily field presence with potential night shifts and occasional weekend work based on project schedules.

The successful candidate will interpret construction plans, oversee materials testing, review documentation, and prepare reports while collaborating with Resident Engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Willingness to work outdoors in an active construction environment.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, overtime, and occasional weekends as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on highway, bridge, airport, and transportation infrastructure construction projects
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards
• Read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Prepare daily inspection reports, field documentation, and project records
• Assist with Office Engineer responsibilities, including reviewing construction documentation and coordinating project information
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, project managers, contractors, and client agencies
• Support materials testing, quality assurance, and project closeout documentation as required
• Work on-site daily, with availability for night shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends based on project schedules
