Job summary

Artheon in Berlin, NJ is seeking an Entry Level Construction Inspector to support transportation infrastructure projects. You will perform field inspections on highways, bridges, and airports, read and interpret plans, and prepare reports under supervision.

This on-site role requires outdoor work in varying conditions, with potential for night shifts and weekend assignments based on project needs. A Civil Engineering degree is required and NJDOT/NJ Turnpike experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Requires a Civil Engineering degree and willingness to work on-site in varying weather conditions.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specs.
Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail is essential.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections on highways, bridges, airports, and related infrastructure.
Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specs, safety and quality standards.
Read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specs, and contract documents.
Prepare daily inspection reports and project documentation.
Assist Office Engineer with document reviews and information coordination.
Coordinate with Resident Engineers, PMs, contractors, and client agencies.
Support materials testing, QA, and project closeout documentation as needed.
Work on-site daily with potential night shifts or weekends based on project schedules.
