Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a civil engineer to conduct field investigations and assist in design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil components for a semiconductor fab project in Clay, NY. You will help prepare construction drawings, schedules, models, calculations, and material requisitions on a site-driven team.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with civil/sitework design, construction documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Participates in field walkdowns and investigations as engineering support to construction.
• Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of civil sitework components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs) and company standards.
• Plans civil layout and prepares detailed civil engineering design drawings for small structures, roadways, and related works, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
• Originates civil engineering deliverables, such as drainage and road design calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
• Prepares building material interface details for review by senior personnel.
• Participates in reviews and approves design drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
• Prepares civil/structural designs and construction drawings using 2-D/3-D CAD, graphics, and models.
• Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs related technical bid evaluations.
• Provides technical assistance to other Civil/Structural personnel and coordinates with project teams and regulatory agencies.
