Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Engineer to support field investigations and the design, development, modification and evaluation of civil components for a semiconductor fab project in Clay, NY. You will assist with on-site design support, construction queries, RFIs and NCRs, and contribute to drawings and material requisitions.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2–5 years (or 6–9 years) of relevant experience. Proficiency with CAD and regulatory codes is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience applying design standards, codes and Bechtel procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs field walkdowns and investigations to support construction.
• Assists with design development, modification and evaluation of civil sitework components.
• Prepares civil/structural drawings and calculations using CAD tools.
• Produces material requisitions and supports procurement activities.
• Reviews design drawings for compliance with local and national regulations.
• Provides technical assistance to Civil/Structural personnel and project teams.
