Job summary

Benesch is hiring a Civil Construction Intern to support inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer projects. You will gain hands-on field experience and learn from experienced engineers and project managers, with opportunities to collaborate on active projects.

Pursuing a Civil or Construction Engineering degree (ABET-accredited; EIT preferred) is expected, along with strong communication and organization. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (EIT preferred).
• Experience on field projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or AutoCAD desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer construction projects.
• Gain hands-on field experience and exposure to construction observation and project documentation.
• Learn directly from experienced engineers and project managers.
