Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Civil Construction Intern to support inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer projects. You will gain hands-on field experience and observe construction practices under the guidance of project engineers and managers.

We value students pursuing an ABET-accredited Civil/Construction Engineering degree (EIT preferred) and seek strong communicators with good organizational skills who can work in teams and independently on deadlines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (EIT preferred).
• Experience working on field projects a plus.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or AutoCAD desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently within budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer construction projects.
• Hands-on field experience and exposure to construction observation.
• Learn directly from experienced engineers and project managers.
