Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Waste Technician to collect, characterize and package customer waste for disposal at client sites. You will assist with safe waste transport under federal regulations and with paperwork such as packing lists, labels and shipping documents.

Onsite support includes inspections, waste pickup, chemical dispensing, inventory and outbound shipments. Qualifications include a chemistry-related degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of DOT/RCRA rules, ability to sample

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, environmental science, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of Federal and State Environmental and Transportation regulations; DOT/RCRA experience preferred.
• Ability to perform proper waste sampling and generate accurate characterizations.
• Communicate effectively and solve problems; report data clearly.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, characterize and package customer waste for final disposal.
• Assist in safely transporting customer waste per Federal regulations.
• Assist with customer paperwork including packing lists, waste labels and shipping documents.
• Participate in onsite support at customer locations (inspections, waste collection, chemical dispensing, inventory, outbound shipments).
• Collaborate with team to identify contents via sampling procedures and tests.
