Job summary

Republic Services seeks an Environmental Field Chemist I to support indoor and outdoor operations at customer sites, ensuring safety standards and proper packaging of hazardous waste. You will assist with hazardous, non-hazardous and universal waste removal while maintaining updated documentation.

Responsibilities include collecting and packaging waste, preparing shipping documents, and assisting with onsite inspections and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of chemistry principles.
• Ability to pass Respirator fit test certification.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Proficient with computer-based communication, data gathering and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, characterize & package customer waste for disposal.
• Assist in safely transporting waste in accordance with Federal regulations.
• Prepare paperwork: Packing Lists, Waste Labels & Shipping Documents.
• Support onsite activities: inspections, waste collection, inventory, housekeeping, shipments.
• Collaborate to identify contents via field screening methods.
