Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Onsite Environment Technician III to manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensure regulatory compliance, perform spill response, and conduct waste sampling at client sites. The role includes packaging waste for transport, inspecting containers, consolidating chemicals, and maintaining thorough records to support sustainability goals.

The position requires 4–7 years of relevant experience and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, with the ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Experience with hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and reporting.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with clients and teams.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect, package, and label waste per regulations.
• Perform waste bulking and consolidation for disposal.
• Inspect drums for integrity and compliance.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading of waste vehicles.
• Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
• Operate site equipment including forklifts
• Maintain records and prepare regulatory reports
