Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Cell Site Engineer to support field facilities across the South Eastern Oregon territory and surrounding areas. You will perform regular maintenance, audits, and upgrades to cell sites, while evaluating network coverage and driving improvements.

The role requires travel, on-site presence, and rotation shifts including weekends. A strong candidate has an associate degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years in telecom environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two or more years of relevant work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
• Ability to report to the designated job site within 45 minutes to one hour of notice.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems and applications to identify overall system availability and performance.
• Evaluating network coverage to find gaps, making recommendations to improve coverage, and helping to implement those recommendations.
• Performing triage, fault isolation, and remediation of network events.
• Generating, driving, and updating problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems and continuously improving business practices.
• Escalating issues to the appropriate internal/external engineer teams for resolution.
