Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude (e.g., changing tires, replacing batteries).
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars in the field.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
• Support rail flaw detection testing and data collection; monitor onboard data systems.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment; complete required safety training and PPE usage.
• Communicate clearly with crew via radio and in-person; report safety concerns promptly.
