Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Canvass Manager for our Michigan program in Grand Rapids. The role focuses on executing the regional field plan and supervising paid canvasser operations in compliance with health and safety policies.

The candidate should have prior door-to-door canvassing experience, the ability to work long hours, and reliable transportation. This is a full-time, exempt position with union-related employment terms.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 cycles of paid field campaign or other door to door canvassing experience.
• Commitment to building power in the progressive movement is a must.
• Knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN/LAN preferred.
• Basic computer literacy, database skills, and prefer access to a reliable portable computer. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
• Must have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Strong coaching skills and abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while handling multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal communications skills.
• Bilingual experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Train canvassers, launch canvass events, and supervise a team of canvassers following health and safety guidelines.
• Front-line voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing in local and statewide regions.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly goals are met and exceeded.
• Ensure accurate reporting and timely data entry for regional operations.
• Enforce health and safety protocols and procedures.
• Recruit, schedule, and confirm canvassers.
• Assist with delivering training programs.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
